Richard L. (Rick) Heist, CFRE, is the Executive Director of Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity in Lackawanna, NY. He holds a B.A. from St. John Vianney Seminary, an M.S. from Canisius College, and a Certificate in Supervision from the University of North Carolina. He has held the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential since 1999 and is a past Vice Chair and Treasurer of the CFRE International Board of Directors. Active with NCDC for 28 years, Rick has served in the past on the NCDC Board of Directors and as Board Chair. He also has served on several NCDC Committees, including Conference Co-Chair in 2006. Rick has been a presenter at national NCDC conferences and at regional workshops. He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, and the Western NY Planned Giving Consortium. In his local community, Rick serves on the boards of the Diocesan Counseling Center for Clergy and Religious and the Catholic Seminary Alumni Association, as well as on the Institutional Advancement Committee of
Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora, NY.
